How do I watch through my Chromecast in 1080p?

To get 1080p video resolution on Chromecast:

Cast Device Hardware and minimum requirements:

• Chromecast 2nd Generation and up
• Chromecast device is directly connected to power outlet using Chromecast dongle power cable
• Chromecast firmware is up to date (to check firmware version follow steps: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/7124014?hl=en&ref_topic=3447927)
• Chromecast device must be connected directly to the HDMI port

Home Network set up and minimum requirements:

• Chromecast should be close to the modem if possible for the best connection and performance
• Wifi home network speed at minimum = 6mbps (more needed if internet is being consumed by additional devices)
